# Delete an existing device

`DELETE /device/{deviceID}`

Deactivate an existing device. After this call, the device will not appear anymore in lists and will not receive any messages In SDK 2.3 and higher, it will remove any data related to the device as well as the device itself.

- `deviceID` string, required
