# POST /v1/projects/{projectOrProductUID}/devices/{deviceUID}/notes/{notefileID}

`POST /v1/projects/{projectOrProductUID}/devices/{deviceUID}/notes/{notefileID}`

Adds a Note to a Notefile, creating the Notefile if it doesn't yet exist.

## Path parameters

- `projectOrProductUID` string, required
- `deviceUID` string, required
- `notefileID` string, required

## Request body

- NoteInput
  - `body` object — Arbitrary user-defined JSON for the note.
  - `payload` string, byte — Optional base64-encoded payload.

## Response `200`

An empty object means success
