# Count contacts

`GET /contacts/count`

## Request

Count contacts

Returns the total number of contacts (and distinct employer companies)
matching the provided filters, without returning any contact data. Use
this to gauge result set size before fetching with `GET /contacts`.

**Quota cost:** None — counts are always free.
