# Perform bank account lookup

`POST /v1/transfers/bank/lookup`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.nomba.com`
- URL: `https://api.nomba.com/v1/transfers/bank/lookup`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

You can use this endpoint to perform bank account lookup.

## Headers

- `accountId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- BankAccountLookupRequest: A structure representing a bank account lookup request
  - `accountNumber` string, required: The account number to be looked up.
  - `bankCode` string, required: The bankCode of the bank the account number belongs to. This can be obtained from a call to `/v1/transfers/banks`

## Response `200`

OK - your request was successful.

  - `data` BankAccountLookupResult, required: A structure representing a bank account lookup result
    - `accountNumber` string: The account number already looked up.
    - `accountName` string: The name on the account.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request body sent by merchant did not pass the validation checks
- `401`: The access_token provided to access the resource is missing or invalid.
- `403`: The client does not have the permissions to access this resource
- `404`: The record that the client is trying to access does not exist.
- `429`: The client has maxed out the number of calls within a time period on this resource.
- `500`: Downstream system error.
