# Verify a US address

`POST /v1/addresses/verify`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.noerrands.com/c/mail`
- URL: `https://api.noerrands.com/c/mail/v1/addresses/verify`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Check a US postal address against USPS data and return the normalized form; free and read-only, nothing is mailed or charged. Up to 30 new addresses an hour per account; re-checking the same address within 24 hours is answered from a cache and not counted.

## Request body

  - `address` object, required: A US postal address. US-only in v0.
    - `name` string: Recipient or sender name, 1-40 characters.
    - `company` string: Optional company line, up to 40 characters.
    - `line1` string, required: Street address, up to 64 characters.
    - `line2` string: Apartment, suite, or unit, up to 64 characters.
    - `city` string, required
    - `state` string, required: Two-letter US state code.
    - `zip` string, required: ZIP code, 5 digits or ZIP+4.
    - `country` 'US': US only in v0.

## Response `200`

Success.
