# Retire a secret

`DELETE /v1/secrets/{name}`

## Request

- Base URL: `/` (relative, and the document was published on a file host, not at the API’s origin)
- URL: `/v1/secrets/{name}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Removes the name from future bindings. Existing sandbox bindings continue until refresh or expiration.

## Path parameters

- `name` string, required

## Response `204`
