# Get cloud setup availability and AWS trust settings

`GET /v1/cloud-connections/setup`

## Request

- Base URL: `/` (relative, and the document was published on a file host, not at the API’s origin)
- URL: `/v1/cloud-connections/setup`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Requires an API key owned by a user who is currently a team administrator. Keys without a user owner do not inherit administrator access. The console uses the same service with its authenticated session. Returns the principal ARN, tenant external ID, guided AWS availability, and observation capabilities. Availability checks deployment settings, not live AWS permissions.

Get cloud setup availability and AWS trust settings

- CloudConnectionSetup
  - `aws_principal_arn` string, required
  - `aws_external_id` string, required
  - `guided_aws_available` boolean, required: Guided AWS setup is configured and its published access template matches this release. This does not verify access to the customer's AWS account.
  - `guided_aws_unavailable_reason` string, required
  - `mode` 'observe', required
  - `capabilities` string[], required
  - `guided_gcp_available` boolean, required: Guided Google Cloud setup is configured. This does not verify access to the customer project.
  - `guided_gcp_unavailable_reason` string, required
  - `google_signin_available` boolean: The Google Web OAuth client and keyless observation identity are configured.

## Other responses

- `default`: Authentication, administrator access, invalid input, missing records, conflicts, rate limits, credential storage, and transient failures are returned using the stable error and message fields.
