# Enable or pause execution on existing AWS or Google Cloud capacity

`PUT /v1/cloud-connections/{id}/execution`

## Request

- Base URL: `/` (relative, and the document was published on a file host, not at the API’s origin)
- URL: `/v1/cloud-connections/{id}/execution`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Requires an API key owned by a user who is currently a team administrator. The console uses the same service with its authenticated session. Enabling creates or reuses one dedicated Nodus pool for this AWS or Google Cloud connection with free private routing and prediction. It does not create or start cloud instances, install software, enroll a host, grant a host execution credentials or authorize paid overflow. Submit through the existing workload API with placement.pool set to the returned pool_id. Disabling blocks new routing while retaining current workload ownership and cleanup. Retries reuse the same pool. Missing enabled returns 400. Execution setup supports AWS and Google Cloud.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- CloudExecutionUpdate
  - `enabled` boolean, required

## Response `200`

Enable or pause execution on existing AWS or Google Cloud capacity

- CloudExecution
  - `connection_id` string, required: Nodus cloud connection identity.
  - `pool_id` string: Dedicated Nodus pool identity, present after execution has first been enabled.
  - `enabled` boolean, required: Explicit authorization for future private workload routing. Host enrollment, health and available capacity are checked separately.
  - `hosts` CloudExecutionHost[], required
    - `host_id` string, required: Nodus host identity in the dedicated pool.
    - `resource_id` string, required: Customer-owned AWS EC2 instance ID or Google Compute Engine numeric instance ID recorded by the administrator.
    - `region` string, required: Cloud region containing the observed instance.
    - `bound_at` string, date-time, required
    - `execution_configured` boolean, required: The enrolled host has declared the required Nodus execution configuration. Health, cloud authorization and available capacity are checked separately. This is not a physical host attestation.
    - `zone` string: Google Compute Engine zone containing the instance. Omitted for AWS associations.

## Other responses

- `default`: Authentication, administrator access, invalid input, missing records, conflicts, rate limits, credential storage, and transient failures are returned using the stable error and message fields.
