# Create workspace

`POST /api/v3/meta/workspaces`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.nocodb.com`
- URL: `https://app.nocodb.com/api/v3/meta/workspaces`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `xc-token`
  - HTTP bearer
- TypeScript: <https://skmtc.dev/nocodb/apis/nocodb-v3/docs/api/v3/meta/workspaces/post.ts> (a function with typed inputs; its response is checked against the schema)

Create a new workspace with the specified title and optional organization ID.

**Note**: Listing and creating workspaces is available on all cloud-hosted plans and on all self-hosted deployments. Reading, updating, and deleting a specific workspace requires cloud-hosted **Business** plans and above, or a licensed self-hosted deployment (**Business** plan and above). Unlicensed self-hosted deployments are limited to the default workspace.

## Request body

- WorkspaceV3Create: Workspace creation request
  - `title` string, required: Title of the workspace
  - `org_id` string: Organization identifier (required for cloud, absent for on-prem EE)

## Response `201`

Workspace created successfully.

- WorkspaceV3: Workspace V3 information with meta data
  - `id` string, required: Unique identifier for the workspace
  - `title` string, required: Title of the workspace
  - `org_id` string: Organization identifier (required for cloud, absent for on-prem EE)
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required: Timestamp when the workspace was created
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required: Timestamp when the workspace was last updated

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request.
- `500`: The server encountered an unexpected error while processing the request.

## Changes
