# Deregister Cloud Device

`DELETE /v5/devices/{device_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://sandbox.nmi.com/api`

- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Deregister a cloud device from the merchant. Once deregistered, the device cannot be used for transactions.

## Path parameters

- `device_id` string, required

## Response `204`

Device deregistered successfully

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Device not found
