# Delete Customer

`DELETE /v5/customers/{customer_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://sandbox.nmi.com/api`
- URL: `https://sandbox.nmi.com/api/v5/customers/{customer_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Delete a customer from the customer vault. This will remove the customer and all associated billing and shipping addresses.

## Path parameters

- `customer_id` string, required

## Response `204`

Customer deleted successfully

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Customer not found
