# Permanently delete a site

`DELETE /sites/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.nippy.host`
- URL: `https://api.nippy.host/sites/{id}`
- Auth: `bearer` (a scheme the document does not define)

Irreversibly destroys the site: removes any custom domains (including their Cloudflare hostnames and certificates), deletes every KV record, wipes the R2 objects, and drops the site row along with its upload history. There is no undo and the freed subdomain returns to the pool.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `204`

Site deleted

## Other responses

- `401`: Not authenticated
- `403`: You do not own this site
- `404`: Site not found
- `503`: The site could not be deleted just now and is left as it was. Retry.
