# Request password reset

`POST /user/password/reset`

Request a password reset for a user account. An email with a verification link will be sent to the user's email address to complete the password reset process.

## Request body

- UserPasswordResetRequest
  - `email` string, email, required — A valid email
  - `options` OptionsRedirectTo
    - `redirectTo` string, uri
  - `codeChallenge` string — PKCE code challenge (S256). When provided, the verification redirect will contain an authorization code instead of a refresh token.

## Response `200`

Password reset requested

- 'OK'
