# /people/{vanId}

`POST /people/{vanId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.securevan.com/v4`
- URL: `https://api.securevan.com/v4/people/{vanId}`
- Auth: HTTP basic

Updates a Person record. Alias for using [POST /people/findOrCreate](ref:people#peoplefindorcreate) with the `vanId` property set to the value of the route parameter.

If no Person with the indicated `vanId` is available, this endpoint will return an error with HTTP Status Code `404 Not Found`. Otherwise responds with a [Match Responses](ref:people#match-responses).
