# /employers

`POST /employers`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.securevan.com/v4`
- URL: `https://api.securevan.com/v4/employers`
- Auth: HTTP basic

Use this endpoint to create a new Employer.

If successful, the endpoint responds with HTTP Status Code `201 Created` and an [Employer](ref:employers) object with the integer ID of the created Employer in the response body and any associated [Worksites](ref:worksites). If no Worksite was specified, a default Worksite will be created. It also sets the **Location** header to the [location](ref:employersemployerid) of the Employer.
