# Self-verification of an L2-J citation against the jurisdiction's case-law corpus

`POST /api/v1/jurisprudencia/verify-cita`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://legal.nexusquantum.legal`
- URL: `https://legal.nexusquantum.legal/api/v1/jurisprudencia/verify-cita`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Parses the citation (neutral citation, ECLI, ROJ, colloquial format), looks up the canonical document in the jurisdiction's corpus and optionally compares it against claim_text (Jaccard 0.35). Cost: 0 LLM. Returns one of: verified | mismatch | not_found | pending | not_verifiable (jurisdiction with no verification corpus wired up). PARTY-NAME CHECK (2026-07-27): when the citation carries the case name next to it ('Spandeck Engineering (S) Pte Ltd v Defence Science & Technology Agency [2007] SGHC 37'), the name is checked against the decision the citation resolves to. Incompatible → `mismatch` with `citation.mismatchKind: "party"`, `citation.party_check: "mismatch"`, both names (`cited_case_name` / `canonical_case_name`), a `note` stating that the citation EXISTS but points to a different decision, and — when located — the correct sibling citation in `citation.suggested_citation`. A citation written WITHOUT a case name behaves exactly as before (`party_check: "no_name"`); if the corpus record has no canonical case name the check does NOT run and says so (`party_check: "unavailable"` + note). `note` travels on every status (additive).

## Request body

- object
  - `citation` string, required: Citation to verify (Spanish-language alias accepted: `cita`; `citation` takes precedence). Accepts neutral citations ('[2013] SGCA 15'), ECLI, ROJ or colloquial formats ('T-842 de 2019').
  - `cita` string: Spanish-language alias for `citation`.
  - `claim_text` string: Text attributed by the LLM. If present, Jaccard similarity is computed.
  - `jurisdiction` string: ISO code (Spanish-language alias accepted: `jurisdiccion`; `jurisdiction` takes precedence). No default: if omitted, the country declared by the citation itself (ECLI) is used, or the first verifier in the registry that recognizes its shape — no jurisdiction is privileged.
  - `jurisdiccion` string: Spanish-language alias for `jurisdiction`.

## Response `200`

Verification result.

## Other responses

- `400`: MISSING_CITATION | INVALID_JSON
- `402`: INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS — paywall from minute one (balance > 0 required; verification does not consume credits).
- `403`: CONTENT_NOT_ENTITLED — the account does not have the case-law add-on (Layer 3) for the ECLI/ROJ jurisdiction.
