# Semantic search over the case-law corpus

`POST /api/v1/jurisprudencia/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://legal.nexusquantum.legal`
- URL: `https://legal.nexusquantum.legal/api/v1/jurisprudencia/search`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Vector search (voyage-law-2) over the Nexus indexed case-law corpus. The corpus grows incrementally — coverage by jurisdiction, source, up-to-date counts and date range in `GET /api/v1/corpus/coverage` (not hardcoded in this description, to keep it from going stale). Current coverage includes judgments and doctrine from courts and regulators in ES, EU, INT, CO, KR and other jurisdictions per the coverage table. Returns top-K results with title, source, excerpt (2,000 chars) and permanent URL. SCOPE: this is a CASE-LAW corpus — rulings by high courts that create doctrine and precedent — NOT an exhaustive database of every judgment handed down in each country; rulings that do not set case law are out of scope by design.

## Request body

- object
  - `query` string, required
  - `jurisdiction` string: ISO code. REQUIRED — no default (400 MISSING_JURISDICTION if absent). Scopes the corpus by jurisdiction.
  - `top_k` integer

## Response `200`

Results.

- object
  - `query` string
  - `jurisdiction` string
  - `intent` string
  - `count` integer
  - `chunks` object[]
    - `id` string
    - `source` string
    - `titulo` string
    - `texto` string
    - `url` string, uri

## Other responses

- `400`: MISSING_JURISDICTION (`jurisdiction` is required — no default, v1.28) | VALIDATION_ERROR | INVALID_JSON
- `402`: INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS — the API is paid from minute one: with no credit balance (> 0) lookups are not served either. The lookup itself does NOT debit credits.
- `403`: CONTENT_NOT_ENTITLED — the account does not have the case-law add-on (Layer 3) for the requested jurisdiction.
- `429`: RATE_LIMITED (API key/organization RPM exceeded) or CORPUS_DAILY_QUOTA (daily corpus volume quota exceeded — 500 searches/day per user and per API key by default). The body includes `code`; the `Retry-After` header gives the seconds until reset.
