# Delete a party of a case file

`DELETE /api/v1/cases/{caseId}/parties/{partyId}`

Deletes a party of the case file. Wraps DELETE /api/cases/[caseId]/parties/[partyId]. Firm-scoped OWNERSHIP; `canDelete(access)` by role (`403` if the role does not allow it). Responds `204` (idempotent). Scope `cases`/`mcp`/`*`. 0 credits.

## Response `204`

Party deleted (or nonexistent — idempotent).

## Other responses

- `403`: FORBIDDEN — the role does not allow deletion.
