# Create user

`POST /user/v3/account/emvioUser`

## Request

Creates a new user.

## Request body

- object
  - `email` string, required: The new user's email address.
  - `role` 'R' | 'W' | 'A', required: The new user's role. Determines their level of access. Possible values include the following: * R - View-Only, has the ability to view data * W - Standard, can perform actions on data such as void, refund process, etc. * A - Admin, has all the permissions of a standard user and can also create and edit other users
  - `merchantIds` string[]: The merchant IDs the new user will be able to access.

Success

  - `userName` string: The username for the account.
  - `firstName` FirstName (unresolved $ref)
  - `lastName` LastName (unresolved $ref)
  - `phone` Phone (unresolved $ref)
  - `enabled` boolean: Set to `true` if the user is enabled.
  - `accessRights` object: The user's access rights.
    - `merchantIds` object: A list of all the merchant IDs the new user will have access to.<br/> The merchant ID is the key; the role is the value.
      - `[merchant ID]` string: The Nexio ID for a specific merchant.
    - `role` 'A': The user's level of access for a specific merchant.
  - `role` string: The user's custom role.
  - `cognitoSub` string: The AWS Cognito user sub for this user.
  - `isEnabledForVTerm` boolean: For Nexio use only.
  - `dateCreated` string: The date and time at which the user was created, formatted as an [ISO-8601](https://www.iso.org/iso-8601-date-and-time-format.html) date expressed in UTC.
  - `dateLastModified` string: The date and time at which the user was last modified, formatted as an [ISO-8601](https://www.iso.org/iso-8601-date-and-time-format.html) date expressed in UTC.
