# Register Agent

`POST /protocol/agents`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sandbox.nevermined.app/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.sandbox.nevermined.app/api/v1/protocol/agents`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a new AI agent with API configuration.

## Request body

- RegisterAgentRequest
  - `name` string, required: Agent display name
  - `description` string: Agent description
  - `tags` string[]: Searchable tags
  - `endpoints` object[], required: API endpoints (HTTP verb and URL)
  - `agentDefinitionUrl` string, required: URL to OpenAPI spec, MCP Manifest, or A2A agent card

## Response `200`

Agent created successfully

- AgentCreatedResponse
  - `success` boolean
  - `agentId` string: The agent's unique identifier (DID)

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Unauthorized - Invalid or missing API key
