# Revoke a delegation

`DELETE /delegation/{delegationId}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Revokes a delegation owned by the authenticated user and cascade-revokes its linked permissions. For Visa delegations the linked VGS intent is cancelled best-effort. Requires a Nevermined API key.

- `delegationId` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

The revoke result (`{ success: true }`)

- NvmAPIResultDto: Generic API result envelope (`NvmAPIResultDto`). Only `success` is guaranteed — every other field is optional on the DTO, and `DELETE /delegation/{delegationId}`, its only consumer here, returns `{ success: true }` and nothing else.
  - `success` boolean, required: Indicates whether the API call was successful
  - `message` string: Message describing the result of the API call
  - `txHash` string: Blockchain transaction hash associated with the API call
  - `httpStatus` integer: HTTP status code of the API response
  - `data` object: Additional parameters related to the API call
  - `when` string, date-time: Timestamp when the API call was made
