# Push data collection values

`POST /v1/push-data`

Push values to data collection items with origin "push". Multiple values for different
objects and DCIs can be submitted in a single request.

Target object is identified either by `objectId` or by `objectName`, and target DCI either
by `dciId` or by `dciName`. When a DCI is addressed by name and does not exist yet, the
server attempts to create it through instance discovery.

The whole batch is validated before any value is pushed, so a request either applies
completely or has no effect at all. If validation fails, the response body identifies the
offending element by its position in the request array.

Requires `OBJECT_ACCESS_PUSH_DATA` on every target object.

## Request body

- PushDataElement[]
  - `objectId` integer — Target object ID
  - `objectName` string — Target object name, used when `objectId` is not provided
  - `dciId` integer — Target DCI ID
  - `dciName` string — Target DCI name, used when `dciId` is not provided. If no matching DCI exists, the server attempts to create one through instance discovery.
  - `value` union, required — Value to push. Numbers are accepted for convenience and converted to their textual representation; values longer than 255 characters are truncated.

  - `timestamp` union — Collection time of the value. Accepts an ISO 8601 string, a UNIX timestamp (as integer or string), a relative offset such as `-5m`, or `now`. Defaults to server time when omitted.

## Response `204`

Values pushed successfully

## Other responses

- `400` — Malformed request or invalid push element
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — User does not have push access to one of target objects
- `404` — Target object or DCI not found
