# Rename a notification channel

`POST /v1/notification-channels/{channel-name}/rename`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://127.0.0.1:8000`
- URL: `http://127.0.0.1:8000/v1/notification-channels/{channel-name}/rename`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Rename an existing notification channel. Also updates references in server actions. Channels provided by chat bots cannot be renamed.

- `channel-name` string, required

## Request body

  - `newName` string, required: New channel name

## Response `200`

Notification channel renamed successfully

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid or missing new name
- `403`: Access denied
- `404`: Notification channel not found
- `409`: Channel with the new name already exists, or channel is provided by chat bot
