# Add to Suppression List

`POST /suppression`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://emailapi.netcorecloud.net/v5.1`
- URL: `https://emailapi.netcorecloud.net/v5.1/suppression`
- Auth: API key in header `api_key`

This API allows you to `suppress` an email address and block any future email delivery attempts on this email address.

It is a good practice to suppress recipients who are not interested in your email communication.

You can also suppress an entire domain to make sure no recipient email address associated with that domain would receive a mail from you. <br>For example: If you suppress the domain *spotify.com*, recipients using email addresses like *alan@spotify.com* or *montana@spotify.com* will not receive any email communication from your account.

## Request body

- object: There are two parameters in the object of the request body. Only one of the two parameters is required.
  - `email` string: Add an email address to be suppressed here. We will not deliver emails to this email address.<br> Comma separate the values to suppress multiple email addresses.
  - `domain` string: Add the domain to be suppressed here. We will not deliver emails to recipients email addresses with this domain.<br> Comma separate the values to suppress multiple domains.
