# Set or clear the auto stop setting

`PATCH /api/v1/organizations/settings/auto-stop`

## Request

Set the auto stop timeout in whole minutes (5 to 720), or send `null` to
clear it. When cleared, sessions end after the organization's maximum
session length. Admins only. Integrations using `POST /events` are not
affected.

## Request body

- AutoStopSettingUpdate: Body for `PATCH /organizations/settings/auto-stop`.
  - `auto_stop_minutes` integer, nullable, required: Whole minutes, 5 to 720. `null` clears the setting.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- AutoStopSettingResponse: The organization's auto stop setting.
  - `auto_stop_minutes` integer, nullable, required: Minutes after a start with no stop before the session ends automatically. `null` means not set: sessions end after the organization's maximum session length.
  - `min_minutes` integer: Smallest accepted value.
  - `max_minutes` integer: Largest accepted value.

## Other responses

- `403`: Only organization admins signed in to the dashboard.
- `422`: Validation Error
