# Get Appliance Network Utilization

`POST /telemetry/appliances/{serial_number}/network_utilization`

Get network utilization telemetry for an appliance.

## Path parameters

- `serial_number` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- ApplianceTelemetryRequestDto: Request DTO for appliance telemetry data (filer_id is in URL path).
  - `period` string, required: Time period in ISO 8601 format. Examples: 'PT1H' (last 1 hour), 'P1D' (last 1 day), '2025-01-01T00:00:00Z/2025-01-02T00:00:00Z' (specific interval), or millisecond timestamps '1730390400000/1730476800000'. Minimum range: 6 minutes.
  - `panel_width` integer, nullable: Panel width in pixels (100-5200)
  - `bin_size` integer, nullable: Bin size for data aggregation (60-3600)

- ApplianceTelemetryNetworkThroughputDto: List of appliance network throughput records
  - `metadata` object: Telemetry metadata (help text, metric definitions)
  - `items` ApplianceTelemetryNetworkThroughputRecord[], required: List of network throughput records
    - `time` integer, required: Timestamp in milliseconds
    - `clients_in` integer, nullable: Bytes per second incoming from client connections
    - `clients_out` integer, nullable: Bytes per second outgoing to client connections
    - `cloud_in` integer, nullable: Bytes per second incoming from cloud - high values suggest data ingestion
    - `cloud_out` integer, nullable: Bytes/sec to cloud - high values suggest cache misses or restores

## Other responses

- `401`: Not authenticated
- `403`: Insufficient permissions
- `404`: Resource not found
- `408`: Request timeout
- `413`: Payload too large
- `422`: Invalid input data
- `429`: Too many requests (rate limit exceeded)
- `500`: Internal server error
