# Delete Ai Activate Index

`DELETE /ai_activate/indexes/{volume_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://am1.portal.api.nasuni.com`
- URL: `https://am1.portal.api.nasuni.com/ai_activate/indexes/{volume_id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer
- TypeScript: <https://skmtc.dev/nasuni/apis/portal-api/docs/ai_activate/indexes/:volume_id/delete.ts> (a function with typed inputs; its response is checked against the schema)

Request removal (soft delete) of a volume from the AI Activate service.

This is a soft delete: access stops immediately, but nothing is torn down until
`removal_deadline_at` passes. Until then it can be undone by PATCHing this resource with
`deletion_requested: false`. Repeating the request is a no-op and returns the existing deadline.

## Path parameters

- `volume_id` string, required

## Response `200`

AI Activate volume removal requested

- AiActivateVolumeRemovalDto: Outcome of an AI Activate volume removal (soft delete) request. Returned by ``DELETE /ai_activate/indexes/{volume_id}``. The index row's ``status`` is not echoed here: NOC transitions it asynchronously, so callers refresh the inventory list rather than trusting a status captured at request time.
  - `volume_guid` string, required
  - `service_status` 'Not Connected' | 'Active' | 'Disabled' | 'Expired' | 'Removal Pending' | 'Removed', required
  - `removal_deadline_at` string, date-time, nullable: Instant after which the removal stops being reversible. Null when NOC does not report a deadline.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Not authenticated
- `403`: Insufficient permissions
- `404`: Resource not found
- `408`: Request timeout
- `422`: Invalid input data
- `500`: Internal server error
