# Add a sound for a video to follow

`POST /v1/videos/reference-audio`

## Request

A voice, an effect or music for Seedance 2.5 References to follow (`@Audio1`, `@Audio2`… in the prompt). Send the file as multipart `file`, or JSON `{ "url": "https://…" }` for a public link. MP3 or WAV, up to 15 MB, 2-30 s; at most 10 per video and 30 s in all. Counts against storage. Pass the returned `id` in `reference_audio_ids` on `POST /v1/videos`, or skip this and send `reference_audio_urls` there (links are fetched on every call, so to quote and then render, upload once here).

`id` (pass in `reference_audio_ids`), `name`, `duration_seconds`

## Other responses

- `400`: Not MP3 or WAV, too long or short, too big, or the link failed
- `401`: Missing or invalid token
- `402`: Does not fit in your free space
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
