# Check single domain availability

`GET /domains/check`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://namemy.app/api/v1`
- URL: `https://namemy.app/api/v1/domains/check`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Availability, the retail price you will be charged, and a one-click
`buyUrl` (a short `/buy/<token>` link whose price is held
server-side). `bestPrice.registrar` is always `namemy.app`.

Domain availability and pricing

- DomainCheckResult
  - `domain` string, required
  - `available` boolean, required
  - `isPremium` boolean: Present and true for premium-tier domains; still purchasable at `retailPrice`
  - `bestPrice` BestPrice, required
    - `registrar` 'namemy.app', required: Always namemy.app, the registrar of record you pay
    - `retailPrice` number, required: First-year price charged, in `currency`
    - `retailRenewal` number, required: Yearly renewal price
    - `currency` string, required
  - `buyUrl` string, required: One-click checkout link; `null` when the domain is taken. Normally a short `/buy/<token>` link; falls back to a `/checkout?...` link.
  - `proposalToken` string: Token in the short buyUrl
  - `expiresAt` string, date-time: When the short buyUrl's held price expires

## Other responses

- `400`: `invalid_domain`: missing or malformed `name`
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `403`: Valid key but missing required permission
- `429`: Rate limit or daily quota exceeded
- `503`: `quote_unavailable`: no registrar price right now. Retry shortly.
