# Get a SIWE nonce

`GET /siwe/nonce`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.namefi.io/v-next`
- URL: `https://api.namefi.io/v-next/siwe/nonce`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Generate and store a replay-protected nonce for a wallet address before signing a SIWE message.

## Query parameters

- `signerAddress` string, required: Wallet address that will sign the SIWE message.

- `x-namefi-erc1271-account` string

## Response `200`

OK

- union: Result of requesting a nonce for a SIWE sign-in flow.
  - object: Successful SIWE nonce response.

    - `nonce` string, required: Generated nonce to embed in the SIWE message.
  - object: Failed SIWE nonce response.
    - `valid` unknown, required
    - `error` string, required: Reason the nonce could not be issued.
