# Request Payment

`POST /payments/request`

## Request

Allows the authenticated user to request a payment from another business.

## Request body

- RequestPaymentRequest
  - `amount` string, required
  - `senderBusinessId` string, required
  - `recipientWalletId` string, required
  - `description` string, required

## Response `202`

The payment request was created successfully. The response `id` is the payment request ID, not the payment ID. Poll GET /payments/request/{id} for requestable status.

- `400`: Bad Request - Invalid request body.
- `401`: Unauthorized - Invalid or missing authentication token.
- `403`: Forbidden - User does not have permission to request a payment.
- `404`: Not Found - The specified wallet or business was not found.
- `500`: An unexpected server error occurred while trying to create the payment request.
