# Get Catalog Terms

`GET /api/databases/{database_id}/catalog/terms`

List catalog terms for a database, paginated and searchable.

When ``q`` is provided, terms are searched server-side (full-text on
Postgres, ILIKE fallback on SQLite) so every term is reachable regardless
of how many the database has; otherwise terms are returned name-ordered.
Returns an envelope with ``total`` so the UI can virtualize/scroll.
