# Invite a user to a trip by email and send the invite email.

`POST /v1/trips/{id}/access/invite`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mynextadventure.cloud` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- InviteUserV1Dto
  - `email` string, required: Email address to invite. The user does not have to be signed up yet.
  - `accessLevel` 'owner' | 'edit' | 'voter' | 'view', required: Access level to grant.

## Response `201`

- InviteUserResultV1Dto
  - `invited` boolean, required
  - `email` string, required: Email that was invited.

## Other responses

- `400`: User already invited.
- `404`: Trip not found or no owner access.
