# Trigger Sync

`POST /api/v1/dbt/cloud/connections/{connection_id}/sync`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.myaltimate.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.myaltimate.com/api/v1/dbt/cloud/connections/{connection_id}/sync`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

Trigger a manual sync for all enabled projects/environments.

This will queue a background task to:
1. Fetch new runs from dbt Cloud
2. Download artifacts
3. Upload to S3
4. Trigger ingestion pipeline

Args:
    force: If True, resets processed runs to force re-download of all artifacts

## Path parameters

- `connection_id` integer, required

## Query parameters

- `force` boolean

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- DbtCloudSyncResponse: Response after triggering a sync.
  - `sync_triggered` boolean, required
  - `task_id` string, nullable
  - `projects_queued` integer, required
  - `environments_queued` integer, required
  - `message` string, nullable

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not found
- `422`: Validation Error
