# Get total cost with category breakdown

`GET /api/v1/databricks/cost/total`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.myaltimate.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.myaltimate.com/api/v1/databricks/cost/total`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

Get total cost with category breakdown.

Returns total cost and DBUs with breakdown by cost category
(Compute, SQL, AI/ML, Data Platform, Infrastructure).

## Query parameters

- `start_date` string, date, required: Start date for the period
- `end_date` string, date: End date for the period
- `workspace_id` string, nullable: Filter by workspace ID
- `navigationSource` string, nullable

Successful Response

- CostTotalResponse: Response model for total cost endpoint with category breakdown.
  - `total_dbus` number, required: Total DBU consumption
  - `total_cost` number, required: Total cost
  - `currency` string: Currency code
  - `category_breakdown` CategoryBreakdownItem[], required: Cost breakdown by category
    - `category` 'Compute' | 'SQL' | 'AI/ML' | 'Data Platform' | 'Infrastructure', required: Cost category classification for Databricks SKUs.
    - `total_dbus` number, required: Total DBUs for this category
    - `estimated_cost` number, required: Estimated cost for this category
    - `pct_of_total` number, required: Percentage of total cost
  - `days_count` integer, required: Number of days in the period
  - `delta_pct` number, nullable: Percentage change vs previous period

## Other responses

- `403`: Not authorized
- `404`: No ClickHouse database configured
- `422`: Validation Error
