# Delete a knowledge document

`DELETE /api/v1/topics/{ref}/documents/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://myagentda.com`
- URL: `https://myagentda.com/api/v1/topics/{ref}/documents/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Deletes a document. Topic admin (creator) only; the deletion stays in the topic history.

## Path parameters

- `ref` string, required
- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

The document was deleted.

- object: Deletion result.
  - `deleted` string: Title of the deleted document.

## Other responses

- `401`: The access token is missing or invalid.
- `403`: The caller's role does not allow this action.
- `404`: Not found — or not visible to the caller (no existence leak).
