# get VOX

`POST /api/v1/sonic/vox`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.musicapi.ai`

Extract vocal audio data from a song. You can optionally specify a time range (up to 30 seconds) to extract vocals from a specific portion.

**Credits cost: 1**

Other details:
1. The clip ID must be created through our service.
2. The clip ID should ideally have been created within the last 24 hours.

## Request body

- object
  - `clip_id` string, required: The clip_id of the song to extract vocals from
  - `vocal_start_s` number: Start time in seconds for vocal extraction (optional)
  - `vocal_end_s` number: End time in seconds for vocal extraction (optional). Duration must be > 0 and <= 30 seconds

    - `vox_audio_id` string, required: The ID of the extracted vocal audio
    - `status` string, required: Status of the extraction
    - `source_clip_id` string, required: The original clip_id

    - `wave_response` object: Wave response data containing audio information
