# Retrieve a response

`GET /responses/{response_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.munito.ai/inference/v1`
- URL: `https://api.munito.ai/inference/v1/responses/{response_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Returns a stored (or still-in-progress) response by id. For a background response that is still generating, pass ?stream=true&starting_after=N to attach to the live event stream, resuming after event N.

- `response_id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `stream` boolean
- `starting_after` integer

## Response `200`

The stored response object.
