# Cancel a background response

`POST /responses/{response_id}/cancel`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.munito.ai/inference/v1`
- URL: `https://api.munito.ai/inference/v1/responses/{response_id}/cancel`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Cancels an in-progress response created with `background: true`. Returns the response object with status cancelled.

- `response_id` string, required

The cancelled response object.
