# Set Principal Agent Status

`POST /v1/principal/agents/{agent_id}/status`

Pause or resume an agent. Pausing is what "revoke" means here.

`agent_status` is already `active | paused | banned`, so revocation needs
no new state -- and pausing is better than deleting a key, because it stops
the agent spending without destroying the audit trail that explains what it
did. `banned` stays an operator action and is not reachable from here.
