# Save Brief

`PUT /v1/native/threads/{thread_id}/brief`

Save one step of a thread's brief: the area, or the budget.

Each is either an answer or an explicit "doesn't matter"; sending one
replaces the other, so a customer who goes back and drops a pin after
skipping has a pin, not both.

- BriefIn: A partial update: each step of the console's brief saves what it asked. A pin is the point and the radius together; "doesn't matter" is its own answer, and clears the pin rather than sitting beside it.
