# Protected Get Publish Status

`GET /api/websites/{website_id}/publish-status`

Whether the editor holds changes that were never published to the live site.

The editor saves to (and reads back from) the staging copy, so a saved
change looks applied while visitors still get the production copy — the
trap behind ticket #883. The frontend uses this to show "alterações por
publicar" next to Publicar.
