# Compose and send an email from the mailbox

`POST /api/system-admin/inbox/send`

Send a new email from the mailbox's outbound address.

Reply: pass `in_reply_to=<original-message-id>`. Forward: just pre-fill
subject/body on the client; the message is treated as a normal new send.
The sent .eml is archived in the same mailbox with direction='out' so it
shows up under the Sent filter on the listing endpoint.
