# Add a custom domain

`POST /domains`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.multi-upload-tool.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.multi-upload-tool.com/api/v1/domains`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Registers a domain for short links. Point it at the platform with a CNAME, then call the verify endpoint.

- `X-Team-ID` integer

## Request body

- object
  - `domain` string, required
  - `teamId` integer: Team to attach the domain to. Must match the token's team when the token is team-scoped.

## Response `200`

The registered domain and the DNS record to create.

- Domain
  - `id` integer
  - `domain` string
  - `verified` boolean
  - `createdAt` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `401`: The API key is missing, invalid, revoked or expired.
- `403`: The token is valid but not permitted to act on this resource, usually because of team scoping or the caller's team role.
