# Disconnect Account

`DELETE /social/accounts/{account_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.muapi.ai`
- URL: `https://api.muapi.ai/social/accounts/{account_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - OAuth 2 (client credentials, token URL `https://api.muapi.ai/oauth/token`)

Permanently remove a connected social account by its id.

For PostForMe-backed platforms (TikTok/Instagram/etc.) this also deletes
the account on PostForMe's side, freeing it up to be connected again
under a different external_id. To keep the account's history and just
revoke access instead, use POST /accounts/{account_id}/disconnect.
