# Post Ticker Coredump

Device uploads a crash dump, in chunks. Auth: X-Device-Key.

The board sends base64 chunks with a byte offset and a total size. Chunks append to a
file in the coredumps volume; the metadata row is only written once the final chunk
lands, so an interrupted upload never produces a dump that looks complete.

Unlike debug_logs this is NOT gated on config.debug: a board that just panicked cannot
wait for an operator to arm collection, and the dump is the only artefact that explains
the panic.
