# Create a shared store

`POST /shared-stores`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mosaic.so`
- URL: `https://api.mosaic.so/shared-stores`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Create an organization-scoped shared store. An organization may have at most 10 shared stores.

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required: Store display name.
  - `source_type` string: Caller-defined source label. This is not an enum.

## Response `200`

Store created

- object
  - `store` SharedStore, required
    - `id` string, uuid, required: Mosaic-generated store ID.
    - `name` string, required: Store display name.
    - `source_type` string, required: Caller-defined source label; manual is the default. This is not an enum.
    - `created_at` string, date-time, required: UTC creation timestamp.
    - `updated_at` string, date-time, required: UTC last-update timestamp.

## Other responses

- `400`: Store name is missing
- `401`: Shared Store authentication failed
- `403`: The organization does not have API access
- `409`: The organization already has 10 shared stores
- `500`: Store could not be created
