# Run Manual Trigger

`POST /v1/automations/{trigger_id}/run`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.monni.fyi` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.monni.fyi/v1/automations/{trigger_id}/run`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Run a manual automation trigger.

Only triggers set to `manual` can be run. Actions run as the bot with no member or
channel, so use `for_each_member` for anything per member. The trigger's usual
cooldowns and monthly budget apply.

`context` adds template variables, used as `{{ key }}` in the actions.

`skipped` is true when the trigger's conditions failed or a cooldown or budget blocked
the run. Nothing ran, but it still counts toward your rate limits.

Needs an API key with `automations.run`, and counts toward the `automation-runs` limit.

## Path parameters

- `trigger_id` string, required

## Request body

- ManualRunRequest: Optional body for a manual run. Omit it entirely to run with no extra context.
  - `context` object: Flat map of extra template variables, addressable in the trigger's actions as `{{ key }}`. Values must be scalars, so no nested objects or arrays. Keys must be valid identifiers and cannot be one of: channel, guild, member, message, vars

## Response `200`

  - `errors` string[]
  - `skipped` boolean

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Out of requests. `X-RateLimit-Bucket` says which limit you hit and `Retry-After` how many seconds to wait. This request was not counted against you.
