# Subscribe a Slack or Discord webhook to changelog notifications

`POST /api/v1/public/changelog-subscribe`

Registers a webhook URL to receive JSON POSTs whenever a new changelog entry is published. Either a Slack `hooks.slack.com/services/...` URL or a Discord `discord.com/api/webhooks/...` URL is accepted; the webhook host must match the declared `channel_type`.

## Request body

- ChangelogSubscribeRequest
  - `webhook_url` string, uri, required: Slack or Discord webhook URL.
  - `channel_type` 'slack' | 'discord', required: Which webhook host to expect. Must match the URL host.
  - `api_slug` string: Restrict to a single vendor slug. Omit to subscribe to all vendors.

## Response `200`

Subscription registered.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid webhook URL, mismatched host + channel_type, or unknown api_slug.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded for this IP.
