# Remove One Organization

`DELETE /api/atlas/v2/orgs/{orgId}`

Removes one specified organization. MongoDB Cloud imposes the following limits on this resource:

 - Organizations with active projects cannot be removed.
 - All projects in the organization must be removed before you can remove the organization.

## Path parameters

- `orgId` string, required

## Query parameters

- `envelope` boolean

## Response `204`

No Content

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request.
- `401` — Unauthorized.
- `402` — Payment Required.
- `403` — Forbidden.
- `404` — Not Found.
- `409` — Conflict.
- `429` — Too Many Requests.
- `500` — Internal Server Error.
